Francis Lawrence to Direct Netflix Adaptation of ‘BioShock’

Netflix’s adaptation of the popular BioShock video game has found its director.

In an exclusive report from Deadline, it’s being reported that director Francis Lawrence (of Hunger Games fame) has been tapped to direct Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of BioShock. Michael Green will take on the job of adapting the script.

As Lawrence is currently directing The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the current plan is for the director to move into pre-production on BioShock as soon as the Hunger Games prequel is finished.

There’s currently no projected release date for the BioShock movie, but with Francis Lawrence at the helm, it is sure to be worth the wait.
