Kara Zor-El is on a Journey in New ‘Supergirl’ Trailer

A brand new trailer for Supergirl has arrived to show off more of its “Woman of Tomorrow” roots, action, and a galaxy-trotting adventure.

This morning brings eager DC fans a look at what’s next for the DCU with a brand new trailer for Supergirl. Unlike the initial teaser, this one gives us a much better look at the overall story (which borrows heavily from the amazing Woman of Tomorrow comic), along with more action. Yes, that means a whole lot more of the MAIN MAN himself…

This is a very fun/solid trailer. I love the overall vibes they’re going with here and Milly Alcock seems to have perfectly captured the broken and struggling version of Kara. Since she, unlike Clark, live through Krypton’s destruction and remembers life beforehand, it makes sense there’s a lot of trauma she must deal with in order to cope. And yet, there’s still that hint of hope we come to expect from the “Super” family.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

Alcock stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing the film, which is based on characters from DC, Supergirl based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film is executive produced by Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo and Lars P. Winther. Behind the camera, Gillespie is joined by director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designers Anna B. Sheppard and Michael Mooney, Visual Effects Supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, music supervisor Susan Jacobs and composer Claudia Sarne.

Supergirl hits theaters on June 26, 2026.
