Michael Waldron Tapped to Write ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’

A new writer has been chosen for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

It was revealed earlier today that Michael Waldron will now be writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, replacing Jeff Loveness. Waldron is also writing Avengers: Secret Wars and he previously wrote Loki: Season One and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

This isn’t the first time the same writers have worked on back to back Avengers films, as the same team of writers worked on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It’ll be interesting to see what changes Michael Waldron brings to the table as the story continues to shift based on Jonathan Majors’ ongoing legal issues.

At the moment, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is hitting theaters on May 1, 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars is due on May 7, 2027. What do you think of Michael Waldron becoming the new writer for the film?
