Though still easily best known for his top notch portrayal of Saul Goodman, Bob Odenkirk has been dipping his toes into some new pools lately, particularly the crimson-tinted pools of the action genre. After finding some success in Nobody, a movie directed by John Wick alumnus David Leitch, Odenkirk is back with Wick writer Derek Kolstad for the next knockout that starts with N: Normal. The tale of trouble coming to a sleepy small town is a tale as old as the medium, at the very least, and from what we’ve seen in the trailer, Odenkirk is absolutely on another level here. Perfectly mixing that low-key backwoods police officer attitude with the pin-drop aggressiveness of an action movie megastar, if Nobody was any indication that Odenkirk had all the chops he needed to duke it out on the big screen, then Normal looks to be cinching that reputation for the years to come!
Normal is scheduled for theatrical release on April 17, 2026, and stars Bob Odenkirk, Lena Headey and Henry Winkler. It is directed by Ben Wheatley, written by Derek Kolstad, and produced by Marc Provissiero, Bob Odenkirk and Derek Kolstad.
