Return to Pandora in First ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Trailer

Disney/20th Century Studios have finally revealed the first trailer for James Cameron’s third Avatar film, Fire and Ash. Check it out now!

After theater-goers got to see the Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer attached to their screenings of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Disney has now dropped the trailer online for everyone to enjoy over and over again. Yes, I caught it myself at CinemaCon earlier this year AND over the weekend at Fantastic Four. Both times blew me away and guess what? Seeing it again this morning still has my jaw on the floor:

There’s a whole lot to unpack in the trailer. From the new clans we get to see, including the new villainous ones who’ve abandoned Eywa, to more stunning creatures and VFX, and even Jake Sully seemingly turning himself in…there are some exciting teases about what this new story holds. As a long-time Avatar fan, I’m just glad I’m not waiting another 13 years to see what comes next.

With “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. The film, which has a screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and a story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno, also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass and Kate Winslet.

Avatar: Fire and Ash hits theaters on December 19, 2025.
