Nearly twenty years ago, The Devil Wears Prada was a cultural landmark of a movie movie – a strong, poignant and funny adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name that took theater-goers by storm. Now, the whole gang has returned to try and see if lightning can’t strike twice for a sequel. Check out the teaser trailer here:
It’s no surprise a movie about the fashion industry can release even a tiny teaser that’s dripping in so much style, but here it is. Fans of the first film can expect all of their favorites to return: not only are the obvious pair of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway returning to reprise their roles, but also Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and even some of the smaller parts like Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are coming back as Lily and Irv (respectively.) These stars will be joined by an all-new cast of stars in their own right, including Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, and Lucy Liu, just to name a few.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to release May 1, 2026 exclusively in theaters. Director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna are returning, with Wendy Finerman producing and Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and McKenna executive producing.
