Lucasfilm has revealed a quick behind the scenes photo from Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter, announcing the start of principal photography!
Big Star Wars news today as filming on the next big screen adventure, Starfighter, has officially begun! On top of getting a quick set photo, featuring Ryan Gosling in costume alongside a newcomer (Flynn Gray), Lucasfilm (via StarWars.com) has announced more of the official cast:

Some pretty neat surprises among the new cast members (AMY ADAMS!!!), and I can’t wait to find out how they’re involved in the new story. Speaking of which, we still don’t have much info on the plot, other than its set in a new time period (years after The Rise of Skywalker) with a whole bunch of new characters. Director Shawn Levy did share this statement though as things kick off:

From the day Kathy Kennedy called me up, inviting me to develop an original adventure in this incredible Star Wars galaxy, this experience has been a dream come true, creatively and personally. Star Wars: Starfighter is slated to hit theaters on May 28, 2027.
