It’s been many moons (read: almost five months) since Star Wars revealed Star Wars: Starfighter. We learned in April at Star Wars celebration the Shawn Levy-directed film would star Ryan Gosling.
When the film was revealed, we got a 20 second teaser and confirmation the movie would begin production this fall and hit theaters on May 28, 2027.
Levy took to social media today to give us a another look of Star Wars: Starfighter sharing a photo of a sea-swept Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray.

Gray was confirmed to be part of the cast on August 28 when production began, along with Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Amy Adams.
The cast was revealed on StarWars.com along with a black and white wide shot featuring Gosling and Gray. Levy’s photo today gives us a closer look at Gosling and Gray in costume with the caption, “Somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea #Starfighter.”
Star Wars: Starfighter is written by Jonathan Tropper, directed and produced by Shawn Levy and Kathleen Kennedy, with Ryan Gosling, Dan Levine, Mary McLaglen, and Josh McLaglen serving as Executive Producers.

When does ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ release?
Star Wars: Starfighter will release in theaters on May 28, 2027.
