Lucasfilm has released the first—official—look at the next Star Wars film, The Mandalorian and Grogu thanks to a quick teaser and swanky poster.
After several conventions worth of grainy, hand-held footage recorded by fans, today brings our first actual look at the long-anticipated new Star Wars film. As the title implies, we get plenty of Mando and Grogu on display, but also our first looks at a slew of creatures and new/returning characters.
On top of the teaser (which confirms Ludwig’s back on the score), we’ve also got this new poster that really highlights the “adventure” theme/vibe they’re clearly going for with the film.

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau, “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026.
