First Look at ‘Whalefall’
We got a first look at Whalefall, with a trailer and new poster! People with Thalassophobia beware!
Whalefall hits theaters on October 16. Whalefall is directed by Brian Duffield, who co-wrote the screenplayer with Daniel Kraus. Kraus wrote the original novel of the same that the film is based on.
The film stars Austin Abrams, Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd.

Following the death of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. While trapped inside its belly with only one hour of oxygen left, Jay comes to realize that the hard-earned lessons his father imparted may be the key to his escape.
Ridley Scott’s ‘The Dog Stars’ Gets New Trailer
Josh Brolin is staying busy this summer/fall as he stars in The Dog Stars alongside Jacob Elordi and Margaret Qualley. Directed by Ridley Scott, The Dog Stars is based on Peter Heller’s bestseller of the same name.
The film tells the story of Hig (Jacob Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exist.
The Dog Stars hits theaters on August 28.
‘Legally Blonde’ Prequel ‘Elle’ Official Trailer
Elle releases on July 1 on Prime Video, giving us a look at Elle Wood’s life before the events of Legally Blonde. Lexi Minetree stars as Elle Woods, June Diane Raphael as Elle’s mother Eva, and Tom Everett Scott as her father Wyatt, alongside Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker, and Amy Pietz.
We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.

‘Cozy Builder’ Demo Trailer
Developers showed off Cozy Builder at Steam Next Fest to showcase their demo which devs say “as continued to grow through community feedback, introducing new objectives, building tools, architectural pieces, and quality-of-life improvements that players can experience throughout the festival.”
During the Steam Next Fest, players will be able to play multiplayer for the first time while restoring earthquake-damaged homes, designing both the exterior and the interiors,

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Hits Disney+ Later This Month
Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in the blockbuster film saga, will hit Disney+ on June 24.

‘Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition’ Announced for Switch 2
During the Nintendo Direct this week, we learned thatWo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition will release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3.
The Complete Edition includes the base game alongside the three major DLC: Battle of Zhongyuan, Conqueror of Jiangdong, and Upheaval in Jingxiang – as well as new endgame content, The Thousand-Mile Journey.

Apple TV’s ‘Widow’s Bay’ Gets Renewed for Second Season
Widow’s Bay was renewed by Apple TV the week before the show’s first season finale airs. The 10th and final episode of the first season of Widows Bay airs on June 17.
“Season two is about how everything is great on the island and there’s nothing to worry about,” said creator, showrunner and executive producer Katie Dippold in a news release.
“Widow’s Bay” is a quaint island town 40 miles off the coast of New England. But something lurks beneath the surface. Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys) is desperate to revive his struggling community. There’s no Wi-Fi, spotty cellular reception and he must contend with superstitious locals who believe their island is cursed. He wants these people to respect him. They don’t. They think he is soft and cowardly. And he is. But Loftis is determined to build a better future for his teenage son and turn the island into a tourist destination. Miraculously, he succeeds: tourists are finally coming. Unfortunately, the locals were right. After decades of calm, the old stories that seemed too ludicrous to be true, start happening again. “Widow’s Bay” blends genuine horror with character-driven comedy.
