In 2008, The Strangers came to the home of an unsuspecting couple and changed the landscape of horror forever. Since then, efforts to bring back the magic of the original have been varied, to say the least, but soon, the final chapter of the latest attempt shall be upon us. The Strangers: Chapter 3 picks up right where its predecessor left off, and from the looks of the newly-released trailer, it’s going to be anything but peaceful:
Maya, the most Final of Final Girls of this franchise, comes face-to-face with the masked marauders that have given her so much grief, but what will truly happen as a result could be anyone’s guess. This relaunch trilogy seems to attempt to humanize the haunting home invaders of the original, giving us a peek beyond the mask and into the mentality behind them. Whether this is for the better or worse, it’s hard to say, but The Strangers: Chapter 3 seeks to end things on a high note either way.
The Strangers: Chapter 3 releases in theaters in the United States on February 6, 2026. It is distributed by Lionsgate, featuring Renny Harlin as the director, and starring Madelaine Petsch, Gabriel Basso, and Ema Horvath.
