Nintendo helped kick off their latest Direct by showcasing the first teaser for the new Super Mario Bros. movie…revealing an official title.
This morning’s Nintendo Direct offered our first glimpse of The Super Mario Bros. sequel. Well, it’s more of a title announcement, but it still shows off some gorgeous looking animation, while offering a hint of what to expect:
On top of that, the father of Mario himself Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed much of the same cast will be making a return: with Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. He also promised there are more surprises to expect and the film will pull from more of Mario’s gaming history than what the title implies.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to hit theaters on April 3, 2026.
