Pixar’s eldest franchise continues to prove that there’s life in toys yet, as Toy Story 5 has just been given its first official teaser trailer. The gang’s all here, but this time around, they might be up against something even all their pluck and determination can’t defeat: The future.
Short and sweet as a teaser should be, this little peek into the film nonetheless reveals many of the characters who will be present, including obvious ones like Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the Potato Heads alongside more recent inclusions like Forky and Karen Beverly. Joining the cast as the ominous new high tech tablet device named Lilypad is Greta Lee of Past Lives and The Morning Show fame.
Toy Story 5 is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton (WALL-E, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory), co-directed by Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto) and produced by Lindsey Collins (Turning Red, WALL-E, Finding Dory). The animated adventure releases in theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
