For those who missed the 2025 reboot of the Troma original creation The Toxic Avenger, or for those who can’t get enough of the gooey do-gooder, stand by for great news. Distributor Cineverse has just announced both the physical and digital release dates for the film, and they are just around the corner! The movie will be available on VOD and digital rental on September 30, 2025, with the physical release coming just about a month later, on October 28, 2025. Just in time for Halloween!
Not only that, the physical launch will see a handful of options coming to stores: a DVD, a Blu-Ray and a 4k+Blu-Ray Collector’s Edition, and an Amazon exclusive 4K UHD+Blu-Ray Collector’s Edition which also comes with the original 1984 The Toxic Avenger film on 4K UHD.
Troma films were never for everyone, and The Toxic Avenger is certainly no exception, but if you were even a little bit interested from the buzz online, it may be worth your time to give it a shot later this month!
