In a Deadline exclusive, it has been reported that Cobie Smulders will be reprising her role as ex Agent of SHIELD, Maria Hill, in Secret Invasion.
The last time audiences saw the character in Spider-Man: Far From Home, it was revealed that both she and Nick Fury were Skrulls, specifically Talos and his wife. Fury himself was working on a Skrull ship, assumably Maria Hill is also with him.
The upcoming series will adapt the Marvel comic event of the same name, in which it was revealed that the world had been quietly infiltrated by Skrulls, many of which had secured positions as major heroes.
Secret Invasion will be on Disney+ and is expected to release in 2022.
