For those of you who are still reeling at the news that everyone’s favorite gun-toting, criminal-killing vigilante wasn’t going to be showing up (allegedly) in the latest season of Daredevil: Born Again, worry not! Our high-caliber hunk will not only be appearing in the latest Spider-Man flick, but also has his own full Special Presentation feature. The Punisher: One Last Kill looks to mix a heaping helping of introspection into the Punisher’s usual ultraviolence, which you can see on display in their official trailer here:
Judging by the tagline and the music, we could definitely be in for something a bit more cerebral this time around, but if the action on-screen is any indication, it won’t be at the expense of all the ass-kicking we want to see out of Frank Castle’s rage-fueled rampages. The title is certainly ominous, however, signifying a potential end to Bernthal’s iconic take on an infamous character. With a writing credit on this as well, Bernthal definitely seems interested in guiding this character’s latest chapter, whether or not it’s the final one.
The Punisher: One Last Kill is scheduled to release on May 12, 2026, on Disney Plus. It is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Green and Jon Bernthal, who also stars alongside Jason R. Moore. Green is producing, with Bernthal as executive producer.
