HBO Max has released the official trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The official teaser trailer has been released for the long-awaited Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The series is set to premiere on HBO Max on January 18, 2026.
The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s prequel novellas Tales of Dunk and Egg, which relates the story of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg which takes place almost a century before the events of Game of Thrones.
As you can see from the trailer, this isn’t the Westeros you’re used to seeing:
Having seen the trailer, I think it will be genuinely interesting to have a series set in Westeros that follows the perspective of regular people. With Game of Thrones and now House of the Dragon firmly following the nobility around, this will be a refreshing change of pace.
