Prime Video Cancels ‘The Wheel of Time’ After Three Seasons

It seems The Wheel of Time will not return for a fourth season according to the latest news.

Fans of The Wheel of Time were devastated yesterday with the news that Prime Video has canceled the series after three seasons. This comes five weeks after the third season concluded with what many considered the series’ best season yet.

According to the report published by Deadline, Prime Video opted to cancel the popular series because a decline in viewership meant they could no longer justify the enormous cost of creating the series.

While the show runners did their best to give season 3 something of a conclusive ending, this will be small comfort for the devoted fans who wanted to see the entire series brought to life.

It’s always possible that another streaming service might pick up the series to keep it going, but given the exorbitant cost to make the show, that’s not particularly likely.
