Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Confirmed

Gamers got word that Lollipop Chainsaw is getting remade this week.

The news came alongside the reveal the game’s original producer Yoshimi Yasuda’s new company is behind the remake.

Yasuda, who recently established publisher Dragami G Games, and said that Lollipop Chainsaw will release next year. The remake is among Dragami Games’ first projects.

Yasuda said “the original development staff on Lollipop Chainsaw, think of the game as very precious to us, and did not want to leave it in limbo, where players who want to play it cannot.”

“As such, we purchased the Lollipop Chainsaw intellectual property from Kadokawa Games, and decided to develop a remake. We have already contacted Warner Bros. about development, and are being supported by them in this endeavour.”

Lollipop Chainsaw’s original writer James Gunn (yes, that one) confirmed on Twitter today that he and game director Goichi Suda are not involved in the project.
