New Batman VR Game Continues the Batman: Arkham Story

Meta has revealed a new Batman VR game coming to Quest 3, which will serve as the next entry in the Batman: Arkham franchise.

Surprise, we’re getting more Batman Arkham storytelling…this time in the form of a new VR game coming from Camouflaj and Oculus Studios. These are the same guys who handled the Iron Man VR game, which was pretty well received, so it seems like things are in good hands.

Aside from the announcement and this quick teaser, details on Batman: Arkham Shadow are pretty slim at the moment. However, they promised more details (and even a look at gameplay) will be coming during this year’s Summer Game Fest on June 7 at 2:00 pm PT.

I can’t say I’m entirely thrilled that the next Arkham game (our first real return to that world since 2015’s Arkham Knight) is a VR exclusive. That said, I can’t deny the thrill I got watching this teaser. I’m curious how the gameplay will shakeout, but it sure feels like they’ve at least nailed the tone/setting of that universe.

Batman: Arkham Shadow is a Meta Quest 3 exclusive title set to arrive at some point this year.
