Azula Returns In A New Avatar Story From Dark Horse and Avatar Studios

Dark Horse Books, in partnership with Avatar Studios, presents Avatar: The Last Airbender—Azula in the Spirit Temple.

The veteran, award-winning team of Faith Erin Hicks, Peter Wartman, and Adele Matera is back with a new story set in the world of Avatar: The Last AirbenderThis new graphic novel, taking place in the world of the hit Nickelodeon series, also features letters by ComicCraft’s Jimmy Betancourt and cover art by Wartman and Matera.

In this story: Azula continues her destabilization campaign against the Fire Nation and her brother, Fire Lord Zuko. But after a failed attack on her latest target, Azula finds herself in a mysterious forest temple inhabited by a solitary monk. What first seems like a place to safely pass the night is quickly revealed to be something horrifyingly different. Azula is forced to confront her past and will finally face her chance at redemption…but will she take it?

Avatar: The Last Airbender—Azula in the Spirit Temple will be available in bookstores September 26, 2023 and in comic shops September 27, 2023. It is available for pre-order now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and at your local comic book shop and bookstore and, according to our sources, will retail for US$12.99.
