As the New York City Toy Fair kicks off, Hasbro has pulled the curtain back on some of the toys coming with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu!
While it feels like we still haven’t seen much of the movie itself, this week has brought eager Star Wars fans/collectors their first look at toys from the film. With Toy Fair kicking off in New York, Hasbro is in attendance and offering up close looks at figures/accessories based on the flick.
Let’s kick off with a look at some of the new ActionVerse line of figures revealed by ScreenRant:
I love this line to be honest, mostly because it feels like something specifically for the kids. So many Star Wars toys these days are made with collectors in mind, leaving younger kids without a whole lot of good options for PLAYING. As such, I’m glad to see the new film getting in on this line of toys as well with Grogu, Zeb Orrelios, and The Mandalorian as individual figures. For ships, we’ve got an AT-RT w/ driver, (Target Exclusive), STAP with new “Guard Droid,” and the Anzellan Starship (Walmart Exclusive).
Next up, there’s a few new Vintage Collection figures, which TechRadar revealed earlier this week. There’s an Imperial Remnant AT-AT Driver, a Remnant Snowtrooper, The Mandalorian and Grogu deluxe pack, an IG-11 (based on his Nevarro Marshal look in the show), along with a Remnant Stormtrooper 4-Pack for you army builders. On the vehicle side of things, you can also snag an Imperial Remnant AT-RT.
As for some other miscellaneous toys to look forward to, there’s no shortage there either from Hasbro. You’ll be able to pick up a NERF Mandalorian Mask and Blaster set, a NERF Rocket Gauntlet, and “Action FX” Mandalorian figure, a 6.5-inch scale Grogu action figure, and a new line of cute-ass blind box figures called “Grogu Snack Attack” (Target Exclusive).
Last, but not least as they’re my favorites, we’ve got some all new Black Series figures to look forward to picking up that our good friends at Gizmodo revealed! There’s an Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper (Target Exclusive), Imperial Remnant AT-AT Driver, Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver, Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper (non-exclusive), Colonel Ward, and The Mandalorian & Grogu with a whole bunch of new accessories.
All of the figures above are available for pre-order starting today at various retailers and expected to launch this Spring (likely April)…but there’s more!
First Editions make their return as well (last seen during 2019’s Triple Force Friday) and will actually be available in stores a couple months ahead of the film! You’ll be able to find the special white-boxed versions of these Black Series figures on shelves starting March 22nd (in limited quantities).
It’s a rough time to be an in-package collector like myself—or at least, for my wallet. Which of these new The Mandalorian and Grogu toys from Hasbro are you most excited to pick up?
