The Power of the Force Gets the Star Wars Black Series Treatment

Hasbro has revealed new Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary Star Wars Black Series figures, harkening back to the 90s line!

I gotta say, I have absolutely been in love with the 50th Anniversary packaging Hasbro has been doing. From the old Phantom Menace designs, and most recently the 2008 Clone Wars packaging, it’s really neat to see the Black Series figures get that old-school feel. Today’s announcement (coming from the collecting site From 4-LOM to Zuckuss) has me super excited.

The Power of the Force 2 line, which kicked off in the early 90s and helped revived the Star Wars collecting scene, is where I personally started collecting. As such, those figures hold a special place in my heart, so you better believe I’m going to be all over these when pre-orders go live tomorrow.
