Edge of Reality has been hard at work on a new free to play shooter, Loadout, that will allow gamers "billions" of options with which to configure your weapons in exactly the way you want. The goal here being to provide a unique and over the top shooter experience, and now they're ready to unleash it on the masses as they've announced a release date for the game.
One of the things I've oft lamented (and spoken of frequently) is the loss of the Rogue Squadron game franchise. The dogfighting/flight sim genre is perfectly suited for the space combat aspects of the Star Wars universe, yet it's been a long time since someone has tapped into that for gaming purposes (unless you count the new addition to The Old Republic). It seems that Disney is returning to that well, as they've announced registrations have started on the beta for Star Wars Attack Squadrons.
