The developers announced today that their second season is hitting the PlayStation Vita next week, with other devices following soon after.
Netherrealm Studios, the Mortal Kombat creators, and developers behind the successful DC Comics fighter Injustice have announced that a brand new Ultimate Edition of the game will be releasing next month, including all DLC, as well as adding the PS Vita and PS4 to the systems...but no Xbox One. Yesterday Sony announced the new gadget called PS Vita TV. This new gadget allows you to play Vita titles on your TV, stream PS4 to another TV, watch media apps, and all of this comes in a neat little compact design. The best part is, it only costs around $100 dollars. While Vita TV is seeing some mixed reactions after the announcement, I can’t help but think it's one of Sony’s greatest moves in a long time.
Sony's GamesCom conference has wrapped up and while the biggest news was the official announcement of the release date, plenty of other news came out during the event. The Vita seems to be getting a huge push from Sony by supporting all PS4 titles via remote play, but the device itself is still getting plenty of support of its own. At E3 there were a ton of great games to play and one of them was Killzone: Mercenary. Since the franchise’s next console iteration (Shadow Fall) is being hyped up for the PS4, I had to get my hands on the Vita version of it.
Sony is making some cool announcements at GDC, but they are more focused on the smaller developer, which should make some gamers very happy and excited.
[Updated with the announcement trailer] Today Square Enix revealed that the HD collection of Final Fantasy X (and it's sequel) that was coming to Japan, is also coming to North America for both the PS3 home console and the Vita. More details inside!
