The Xbox Games Showcase brought fans their first look at the return of Crazy Taxi, which will take players on wacky journeys all around the world.
Though it’d been previously announced, Xbox’s showcase this afternoon finally gave players a look at the all new Crazy Taxi game! We haven’t gotten a proper game in this franchise since the PSP days in 2007 (no, I’m not counting those mobile ones) and fans have been eagerly waiting to see how it would translate to the modern age. Based of this quick announcement trailer, it looks like what we’ve been hoping for!
Encounter unique characters, tackle a variety of high-octane missions, navigate cities featuring unique terrain and driving challenges, and experience nonstop driving action in this all-new adventure across the globe!
Helmed by original Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno, Crazy Taxi: World Tour will take players on a high-octane adventure around the globe. In the new World Tour story-driven campaign, players will play as Axel, chasing down mysterious masked villains who stole his beloved taxi all while tackling extreme missions and challenges!
Additional new features include:
New maps and missions – navigate diverse terrain across five unique cities
Multiplayer modes – play against friends or online competitors around the world
New vehicles and customization – unlock a wide variety of vehicles and customization options to create your own one-of-a-kind ride
Classic mode – revisit the thrills of the original games in Arcade Mode
No release date yet, but Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PCs in 2027.
