In the spirit of spooky season, Capcom has released news about their classic horror series, Resident Evil, specifically that the latest in the zombie-stuffed franchise, Resident Evil Requiem, is now available for pre-order! Never one to make an announcement without a spectacle, Capcom has given us these announcements in the form of Road to Requiem, a ten minute in-depth look at the history of Resident Evil and its future, hosted by Maggie Robertson, the voice of Resident Evil Village’s iconic Lady Dimitrescu:
Among those announcements include the release of a Deluxe edition featuring new costumes, weapon skins, and more, as well as some exclusive Nintendo goodies, like a Requiem-branded Switch 2 Pro Controller and a Grace Amiibo that marks the first-ever Resident Evil entry into the Amiibo line. And, of course, nothing on Earth is safe from the inevitable: those purchasing Requiem via the Epic Games Store will receive special collaboration event items for Fortnite!

Other goodies to note from the release include the Premium Steelbook Edition that packages the Deluxe edition into a classic steel case, and the Switch 2 re-releases of Resident Evil Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which can be purchased separately or as part of the Generation Pack, which contains all 3 games in one bundled price.
Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled to release February 27, 2026, on Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store. All pre-orders include the “Apocalypse” costume for Grace as a bonus.
