During the Xbox Games Showcase, Ninja Theory surprised gamers with a brand new action title picking up from the Hellblade games, Senua.
Ninja Theory is back with an all new game revealed during this afternoon’s Xbox showcase that looks to take up the story from Hellblade 1 & 2. This isn’t Hellblade 3, however, and the developers are quick to note this is a very different kind of game that just happens to feature Senua and her continuing journey.
Senua, a Celtic warrior, is trapped between life and death in a fractured vision of purgatory. She must fight to reach the afterlife and reunite with those she loved and lost, battling forces that threaten everything she believes in.
Sure seems like fans who weren’t thrilled with Hellblade 2‘s less than conventional gameplay will be getting more of what they want, or expected, here.
Senua is set to hit Xbox Series S|X (and on Gamepass) at some point in 2027.
