The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Hits Switch 2 Next Month

Nintendo fans itching to get their hands on Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered now have a release date to put on their calendars!

This week, Bethesda announced a release date (alongside a swanky new trailer) for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. And yes, it will be on a physical game card that includes the FULL game. Not just a digital download, although that’s an option as well.

In partnership with the talented team at Virtuos, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered modernizes the 2006 Game of the Year, now running on Nintendo Switch 2 with DLSS support on both handheld and docked mode at 900p 30fps on handheld and 1080p 30fps docked.

With supported features like motion controls, touch screen, and Left and Right hand mouse mode, there is more flexibility than ever for players to close shut the jaws of Oblivion. Step inside a universe bursting with captivating stories, encounter an unforgettable cast of characters, join storied guilds, conquer the legendary Arena, and ultimately become the Champion of Cyrodiil. Players can experience the complete story with The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine story expansions, also included in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered hits Nintendo Switch 2 on August 11, 2026.
