To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first big screen Final Fantasy movie, Sony is remastering The Spirits Within in 4K for the first time!
I didn’t need the reminder that I’m getting older, but Sony’s publicity had other plans this morning! Apparently Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is turning 20 years old this year (I remember it’s animation blowing my mind in theaters).
To commemorate the anniversary, Sony has finally given the film a 4K remaster and bringing it to Ultra HD on November 16, 2021.
The year is 2065. A meteor has crashed onto Earth unleashing millions of alien creatures who roam the earth, decimating field and city alike, threatening to extinguish life itself. Prepare to be spellbound by an amazing woman, the brave individuals at her side and an astounding mission to save the Earth.
