The Transformers 6-film Steelbook Collection is a Must Have for Fans of the Series

Ahead of its release next week, I’m checking out the Transformers six-film steelbook collection to let you know if it’s worth picking up.

It’s hard to believe but Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise has been running for almost twenty years, the first film having come to theaters in 2007. Now, with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set to come to theaters next month, Paramount is releasing a limited edition steelbook collection of the six Transformers films already released, both in 4K UHD and Blu-Ray format.

That’s right, in one set you get the following:

  • Transformers
  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon
  • Transformers: Age of Extinction
  • Transformers: The Last Knight
  • Bumblebee

Not only that, but this set also has every special feature imaginable for each film on Blu-Ray, plus each film comes in a gorgeous steelbook case. Furthermore, the entire collection arrives in a swanky case that features a magnetic clasp to keep it shut, with the symbols for the Autobots and Decepticons on each side. There’s also a really cool design on the inside of the clasp that makes it look like you’re opening up this ancient artifact.

If you’re looking to upgrade your Transformers film collection or to get fully caught up before Rise of the Beasts arrives, this set is definitely a must have. While the series isn’t all that old relatively speaking, having them all in 4K UHD does provide a nice sense of visual continuity whenever you go back to watch from the beginning. Another detail that’s really cool is, just in case you ever forget which order the films come in, there are Roman numerals incorporated into the cover that let you know which film comes next. It just feels like a quality collection that any film collector would be proud to have.

All of this is to say that the Transformers 6-Film Steelbook Collection is everything we were promised and more. This is a quality box set that any film collector would be proud to have in their collection.

The set releases on May 30, 2023 and will be available at most major retailers.
