The next Captain America film has its director.
Hollywood Reporter broke the news Friday that Nigerian-American filmmaker Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox, Luce, The Girl is in Trouble) will direct Captain America 4.
The film will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, who took up the mantle of Captain America in the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier creator and head writer Malcolm Spellman is writing the script with Dalan Musson, who also wrote for the show.
No production dates are currently known.
