Carlos López Estrada Has Been Brought in to Direct the Live-Action Remake of ‘Your Name’

The live-action remake of Your Name has found a new director and writer in Carlos López Estrada.

The live-action remake of Your Name has been in the works for a number of years now and it’s finally taken a step closer to happening with the arrival of a new director for the project. In an exclusive report from Variety, it’s been reported that Carlos López Estrada has been brought in to direct as well as rewrite the script for the film.

Estrada’s previous directing work includes Blindspotting and Raya and the Last Dragon, just to name a few. Along with working on the remake of Your Name, he’s also currently working on the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Robin Hood.

With Estrada currently rewriting the script, it’s not clear when the remake will enter production, but with his resume, it’ll be exciting to see what he does with the story.
