The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Delroy Lindo has joined the cast of Marvel Studios Blade, the MCU’s adaptation of Marvels most famous vampire slayer.
Mahershala Ali has previously been announced as the titular lead in the Marvel project, but Lindo’s role is currently unclear. Many have speculated however, that Lindo will be taking on the mentor role of Whistler or Jamal Afari, the man that raised Blade.
Mahershala Ali made his debut as Blade in an audio role in Eternals, his voice capping off the end credits scene.
Blade is expected to release in 2023 and start shooting in 2022.
