Disney is Developing a Jungle Cruise Sequel

After seeing success at both the box office and streaming at home, Disney is already planning a sequel for Jungle Cruise!

Jungle Cruise was a ridiculous amount of fun, so I’m glad to see it’s done well enough (especially with the pandemic still ongoing) that Disney is going ahead with a sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story earlier this morning, also revealing that stars Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson will be returning for the next adventure (no big surprise there). On top of that, Michael Green will also be returning to write the sequel’s script, with director Jaume Collet-Serra expected to come back as director.

In short, it sounds like a lot of work on the sequel has already been sorted and they’re moving quickly to capitalize on making this new franchise work. Considering how good the first was, and where it ended, I’m anxious to see what adventures they get into next.
