This morning brings the first trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s long gestating, stop-motion animated Pinocchio adaptation!
While it’s not terribly long, and the film is still almost a year away, our first taste of Netflix and del Toro’s stop-motion Pinocchio is pretty awesome to see.
I’ve always loved stop-motion animation and the quick look we get here looks incredible. I also like how we’re already seeing how this version will differ just a bit from the well-told story we already know. With an impressive cast that includes Ewan McGregor, David Bradley, Gregory Mann, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, and Christoph Waltz I’m pretty much all on board with this one.
