It’s Leatherface versus Gentrification in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) Trailer

This morning, Netflix has released the full trailer for the latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot, which really wants to be Halloween 2018.

If you were curious about Netflix’s upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot, this morning brings your first full trailer. Here we get details on the overall story, and another returning character from the original slasher flick:

Kinda hard NOT to point out the similarities between this and Halloween 2018. I mean, they’re even bringing back the Sally Hardesty character (this time played by Olwen Fouéré), as an older lady out for vengeance who’s been waiting for the demented killer to re-emerge! Unfortunately, nothing else about it really stands out, and Leatherface himself just looks…off. I don’t know, maybe I’m being too harsh, but something just isn’t clicking here.

After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre hits Netflix on February 18, 2022.
