Lionsgate has announced the upcoming fourth film in the John Wick franchise is getting hit with another delay, this time into 2023.
Just as I was in the middle of watching Keanu Reeves in The Matrix Resurrections, news on his other big film franchise came out…Sadly, it’s not what fans were hoping to see:
So yeah, John Wick: Chapter 4 has been moved from May 2022 to March 23, 2023. It’s a pretty sizable delay, far more than I would have expected. Not sure what that could mean (if anything beyond rising numbers of the new COVID variant), but it is certainly surprising. Who knows, maybe it’s more about timing things up better with the upcoming show/spin-offs they’re working on as well.
