Universal has unleashed the first official trailer for Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World Rebirth, revealing familiar dinos and new threats.
This year brings a brand new Jurassic World film from the writer of the original movie along with Gareth Edwards at the helm. That alone was enough to have me intrigued, but today’s first trailer has kicked the hype into gear:
First and foremost, Rebirth looks absolutely gorgeous. Edwards has always had a flair for dynamic shots/composition, while ensuring a solid sense of scale. The result is one of the best looking Jurassic films that feels vibrant and full of genuine life. Combine that with the idea of deadly/mutated dinosaurs and a distinct horror vibe, and there’s a lot to love about Rebirth so far.
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. There, in a terrain populated by dinosaurs of vastly different species, they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that has been hidden from the world for decades.
