There are going to be a few familiar faces in Scream 6 as the four survivors of the most recent Scream movie are returning for the sequel.
It’s been announced that Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega will all be returning for Scream 6. The four actors played Sam, Mindy, Chad and Tara respectively and they will be the primary focus of the new film.
As a reminder, Barrera and Ortega played sisters Tara and Sam Carpenter, while Gooding and Brown played twins Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin. All four have connections to characters in the original Scream film.
Principal photography for Scream 6 is scheduled to begin in early summer 2022 and will follow the surviving quartet as they leave Woodsboro and attempt to move on with their lives. Scream 6 is currently scheduled to be released on March 31, 2023.
