Mia Goth, star of the horror trilogy X, Pearl, and MaXXXine, has been reported to have joined the cast of the latest up-and-coming Star Wars movie, Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter starring Ryan Gosling.
Though plot details are lacking at the moment, what we know so far is that Ryan Gosling’s character is attempting to protect a young charge from a force hot in pursuit in attempt to reclaim them, and Goth will be playing one of these assailants.
Star Wars: Starfighter is a fully standalone Star Wars title, free from the trappings of the Skywalker-based movies or any of the animated or Disney Plus series. It appears to be set around five years after the events of the latest feature film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, firmly placing it in a time period that has, thus far, been fairly bereft of new stories.
Mia Goth, largely known for her horror movie roles, is also soon to be seen alongside Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. The newsletter “The InSneider” was the first to break the news of Goth’s appearance in this film.
