Milly Alcock Cast as Supergirl for New DC Studios Films

James Gunn has filled the role of Supergirl for his new DC Studios films.

The search for Supergirl/Kara Zor-El is over. It was announced on The Wrap that James Gunn has tapped actress Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) to play the iconic role of Supergirl, the equally powerful cousin of Superman.

It’s believed that Alcock will make her debut as Supergirl in the upcoming Superman: Legacy before headlining the highly anticipated adaptation of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Alcock might be better known to some as the young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon, the role that was later taken over by Emma D’Arcy.

Supergirl was most recently portrayed on screen by Sasha Calle in The Flash. Alcock joins a cast which includes Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and David Corenswet as the new Man of Steel.
