This morning brings the first trailer for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, showing Nicolas Cage play himself, and it looks pretty great.
I’ve always enjoyed Nic Cage and his brand of over-the-top acting. The man goes full-blast no matter the role and it’s always engaging to see in action. So a movie where he plays himself, poke fun at his roles/demeanor, along with Pedro Pascal is very much my thing, and this trailer is amazing:
It looks so ridiculous, so fun, and I need this in my eyeballs.
Nicolas Cage stars as… Nick Cage in the action-comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Creatively unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, the fictionalized version of Cage must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan (Pedro Pascal). Things take a wildly unexpected turn when Cage is recruited by a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) and forced to live up to his own legend, channeling his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters in order to save himself and his loved ones.
