Saw X Gets a New Release Date and First Look Image

Jigsaw will engage in a new round deadly games earlier than expected as Lionsgate has moved Saw X forward, while offering a first look at Tobin Bell’s return.

If you’ve been looking forward to the return of the Saw franchise with Saw X (which actually serves as an inbetween-quel) this October…it’s time to adjust your calendars. Apparently Lionsgate is thrilled enough with the film that they’ve decided to move the film a little bit earlier to September 29th.

On top of the release date shift, they’ve also dropped the first image from the film, featuring the killer himself back in action:

John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most disturbing installment of the Saw franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.

Saw X hits theaters on September 29, 2023.
