Paramount has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming, animated Transformers film, Transformers One…by launching it into space.

After attendees got their first look at Transformers One, the upcoming animated film, during last week’s CinemaCon, Paramount is giving everyone else the chance to enjoy it. This morning, they launched a rocket carrying the trailer into space (or space-adjacent) via a livestream event. Don’t worry if you missed out, however, as you can enjoy the first look right here:

I’m pretty curious about this one. I’ve always enjoyed the Transformers, but have mostly been a casual fan. As such, seeing a new origin story seems like a solid kicking off point, while still offering something for long time fans (like my son). Plus, I’m always down when a big franchise puts an animated movie on the big screen! Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

Transformers One hits theaters on September 20, 2024.
