After 38 years, it’s finally happening. Amazon MGM has announced the entire cast list for the Spaceballs sequel, including a confirmation of Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis both returning to their roles that was rumored months ago.
The full list (thus far), now consists of Rick Moranis, Jash Gad, Keke Palmer, Lewis Pullman, Anthony Carrigan, George Wyner, Daphne Zuniga, Bill Pullman, and Mel Brooks. The cast reveal was accompanied with a nice photo of the gang all together for the official table read.

Moranis, Zuniga, Bill Pullman, Brooks, and Wyner are all reprising their original roles, and Gad, Palmer, Carrigan, and Pullman the Younger will be undertaking new characters that have yet to be revealed. In fact, many details are being kept close to the chest about this upcoming sequel, especially over the plot and title. The official release only had this to say about it:
“While the title and plot details are being kept under wraps, the title is rumored to be the name of the movie, and plot details are being described as information about what happens in the story.”
Josh Greenbaum has been tapped to direct, with a script from the duo of Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez and Josh Gad.
Production is now underway on the movie, which is pointedly not being referred to as Spaceballs 2 just yet, and its projected release date is sometime in 2027.
