[Update] Studio Ghibli Teases Lucasfilm Collaboration

Studio Ghibli and Lucasfilm seem to have something up their sleeve.

[Update 11/11/22: This morning, Studio Ghibli offered up another tease, essentially confirming whatever they’re working on is Star Wars related (with the young Grogu front and center.

More than that, however, you can clearly see the legendary animator/storyteller/found, Miyazaki Hayao, in the background. Miyazaki on Star Wars is literally something dreams are made of. Still no word on what this is, but as the teases continue, let’s hope a reveal is in the near future.

Original report follows below.]

The world-famous Japanese animation studio dropped the two studio logos together in a short video posted to social media with no other context. Immediate speculation is that there will be some sort of Star Wars animated film developed between the two studios, but comments on the original post posit whether a live-action adaptation of one of Studio Ghibli’s is the real reveal.
