Take a Deadly Stroll in First Trailer for The Long Walk

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for The Long Walk, offering a chilling look at the adaptation that asks: how far could you go?

The long-gestating adaptation of Stephen King’s (written under his pseudonym Richard Bauchman) novel, The Long Walk, is finally coming out this year. Based on this initial trailer, it looks like we’re in for one hell of an experience.

I got to see an early version of the trailer during CinemaCon and I’m still blown away by it today. Imagine Stephen King’s take on Hunger Games (young adult, last man alive in a dystopian future) and the stage is set for something dark and chilling. I’m loving the character interactions in this trailer and Mark Hamill always seems to have a blast playing a villain. Definitely put this one on your radar.

From the highly anticipated adaptation of master storyteller Stephen King’s first-written novel, and Francis Lawrence, the visionary director of The Hunger Games franchise films (Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Pts. 1 & 2 , and The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), comes THE LONG WALK, an intense, chilling, and emotional thriller that challenges audiences to confront a haunting question: how far could you go?

The Long Walk is set to hit theaters on September 12, 2025.
