Director Matt Reeves dropped a quick “camera test” for The Batman: Part II, showing Pattinson back in the suit…along with another release date delay.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but: The Batman sequel has been delayed again. The good news is that it’s not nearly as long a delay as previous ones (which were full years). The bad news, is we won’t be seeing The Batman: Part II in theaters in October 2027.
But there is more good news to enjoy. The news comes courtesy of a camera test/teaser that Matt Reeves dropped on his Vimeo which gives fans their first look at Robert Pattinson back in the suit:
I love it. Call me a sucker, but this quick look at the film (currently shooting) has already kicked up my hype. Something about snow in Gotham just feels…right. Probably because some of my favorite Bat stories always took place during the winter. Either way, I’m excited, and Pattinson continues to look great.
I’m also not as bummed about this delay; namely because I had it in my head it’d already been pushed into October 2028. So my initial reaction was it moved forward! Regardless, the small shift from October to February isn’t too terrible and Matt Reeves has an impressive enough filmography to be fine with “letting him cook.”
The Batman: Part II is set to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
