‘Sims 4’ Drops 3 New Kits
On May 1, Simmers got three new kits that are $4.99 each: The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit, The Sims 4 Golden Years Kit and The Sims 4 Kitchen Clutter Kit.
EA dropped a blog post on the new kits, where they described them as bringing “a whole lot of living.”
With the Restoration Workshop, Sims will be able to repair broken-down appliances or build out the workshop “for your handy Sim with modular shelves loaded with tools, woodworking benches that are coated in a thick layer of dust, even water heaters, fuse box and functional floor fan.”
The Golden Years kit focuses on allowing elder Sims to enjoy the, ahem, golden years of their life by expressing their individuality.
“Elder Sims can celebrate their long and interesting lives by dressing in styles that are made for their life stage. From leisurely walks in the garden to a light workout session at the gym, there are comfortable clothing options for every type of activity. Even more, Elder Sims can accessorize by having glasses with eyewear retainers (don’t want to misplace those), along with toupees, gardening gloves and more,” the blog post says.
The Kitchen Clutter kit is exactly as described: cluttering up your kitchen with touches like refrigerator magnets or drawings, cleaning supplies, dish towels, and common sights that make a kitchen feel lived in.

‘Elden Ring Nightrein’ Overview Trailer
As Elden Ring Nighrein’s release on consoles and PC looms on May 30, developers dropped a 10 minute overview trailer of the co-op survival’s game systems.
On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames; The Black Phone, For All Mankind) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.
With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (BAFTA nominee Nico Parker; Dumbo, The Last of Us) and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost; Snow White and the Huntsman, Shaun of the Dead) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding.
As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and dragons, Hiccup’s friendship with Toothless becomes the key to forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means to be a hero and a leader.

’40 Acres’ Official Trailer
40 Acres hits theaters on July 2. Director R.T. Thorne wrote the film with Glenn Taylor, Lora Campbell, and it stars Danielle Deadwyler, Kataem O’Connor, Michael Greyeyes, Milcania Diaz-Rojas.
In the film, after a plague eradicates all animal life, famine spreads across the globe leaving society at war and in ruins, but the Freemans are surviving — even thriving — on their ancestral farm so long as they dispatch the occasional raiding party. But what good is surviving the end of the world if it means snuffing out your own humanity? Former soldier Hailey (Deadwyler) made that choice years ago, believing that isolation was the only way to protect her family. She and her partner Galen (Michael Greyeyes) fled the collapse along with their children, fenced them off from the world and trained them to fight (and, yes, kill). But now Hailey’s eldest Emanuel (Kataem O’Connor) is a young man, and when he meets a young woman (Milcania Diaz-Rojas) in the forest beyond the fence, his need for human contact could place the whole family in jeopardy.
